More Environmentally Friendly Options
Due to increased market demand, Mongolia's goat population has tripled to more than 61 million. When grassland grazing is gradually expanded, they will destroy the grassland and lead to desertification. Combined with climate change and overgrazing, 70% of the pastures will be degraded, which will not be reversed in 5 years. In order to reduce the pollution and burden of the Earth's environment, Greenmount has developed the Eco-friendly cashmere line, which is as soft, warm and light as the best cashmere on the market, but with a little less waste.
Our Product
Greenmount's pre-consumere recycled cashmere -- developed from the waste of the native cashmere clothing process -- can achieve the same softness, warmth and quality as native cashmere, but with seven times less impact on environmental desertification.
Technology & Lab
Greenmount is the pre-consumption cashmere collected from the factory floor, then smashed, disinfected, carded 50% recycled cashmere by the spinning factory, and blended with 50% native cashmere. Each product of this series has passed the certification of the global GRS standard (recycled cashmere). We, as producers of renewable cashmere, have a deep and abiding love for it as an alternative to raw cashmere.
Sustainable
Recycled cashmere not only uses tons of other leftover materials, but also avoids the waste of land and water resources caused by grazing and dyeing necessary to produce new wool.
Why does cashmere pollute the environment?
Recycled cashmere not only uses tons of other surplus materials, but also avoids the grazing and dyeing necessary to produce new wool Waste of land and water. It's as soft, warm and light as the best cashmere on the market, but with a little less waste.
